Job summary

Ameren is seeking an Emergency Response Specialist to advance its emergency response initiative and plan, aligning with corporate objectives. You will participate in training, exercises, and coordination with local and state agencies, and support as part of the emergency response organization.

The role requires a bachelor's degree and extensive experience in emergency response, with additional leadership responsibilities and proficiency with Microsoft Office and ICS concepts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; seven+ years experience may substitute.
• NIMS certification preferred.
• Experience in responding to emergency events required.
• Two+ years in supervisor or project leadership role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Understand and promote an effective approach to emergency response.
• Understand and promote Ameren's emergency response initiative and Emergency Response Plan.
• Contribute to develop and conduct emergency response training.
• Develop, conduct, and evaluate emergency response exercises.
• Serve as a member of the Ameren emergency response organization in various roles.
• Evaluate response to emergencies and compliance with the Emergency Response Plan.
• Continuously evaluate the Plan to align with corporate objectives and industry direction.
• Represent Ameren with local and state agencies and officials.
• Be prepared to travel to the Emergency Operations Center to activate the EOC during emergencies.
