Volunteers of America-Greater New York (VOA-Greater New York) seeks a Client Care Worker/Customer Care Worker for the Cromwell Avenue Safe Haven in Bronx, NY. The role involves engaging clients, promoting participation in services, and upholding client rights within a temporary housing program.

Responsibilities include escorting clients to appointments, maintaining census data, issuing essentials, and supporting safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• One year of relevant experience preferred.
• Clean and valid driver’s license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee client participation in daily program activities and monitor rights and adherence to rules.
• Escort clients to appointments and manage bed assignments, census data, linens, supplies, and logbooks.
• Provide customer service by issuing meal cards, mail, medications, lockers, and toiletries.
• Make rounds to safeguard clients and property and promote appropriate behavior.
• Provide emergency response including first aid, CPR, and fire response as needed.
• Complete incident reports and report violations promptly to the Operations Manager.
• Drive agency vehicles to transport clients if assigned.
