Job summary

ASRC Energy Services is seeking an Emergency Response Specialist/Chief to lead the on-call emergency response team and manage incident response across North Slope operations. The role focuses on safety, regulatory compliance, training, and interdepartmental collaboration to ensure readiness and effective incident management.

The candidate will oversee equipment, participate in developing training, and drive continuous improvement in emergency response practices while supporting the Alaska North

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Fire Science/Emergency Management or related field.
• 10 years of experience leading and motivating emergency response volunteers within the Incident Command System.
• Certified Firefighter II (IFSAC/Pro Board).
• Basic computer skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Serve as On-Scene Commander and lead on-call emergency responders.
• Recruit, train and organize an on-call emergency response force.
• Coordinate with training programs for external delivery.
• Manage emergency response equipment and readiness across centers.
• Coordinate with Alaska Clean Seas and supervise compliance with regulations.
• Maintain fire prevention programs and pre-fire plans.
• Investigate department incidents for cause and corrective actions.
• Build relationships across teams to improve collaboration.
• Support a zero-incident safety culture and safe work practices.
