Job summary

ASRC Energy Services seeks a Senior Civil Engineer to lead and support complex infrastructure projects across Alaska's oil, gas, and construction sectors. You will plan, design, analyze, and oversee civil and structural systems for facilities, pipelines, roads, pads, and related infrastructure in remote Arctic environments.

You will mentor engineers and technicians, manage scopes, schedules, and budgets, and ensure compliance with safety standards and project requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field.
• 5–10 years of relevant engineering experience, preferably in oil and gas or construction.
• Active Alaska PE registration in Civil Engineering.
• Experience in design for industrial facilities, site development, roads, pads, drainage, and arctic environments.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and engineering analysis tools; strong MS Office skills.
• Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly with teams, clients, and regulators.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making in fast-paced projects.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and safety integration into engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil engineering efforts during project planning with resource estimates and execution strategies.
• Perform and oversee advanced design analyses and technical reviews.
• Review and approve scopes, schedules, cost estimates, and design criteria.
• Develop fabrication and construction scopes, MTOs, and change requests.
• Manage design changes with technical justification and change management.
• Conduct quality reviews of CAD and Civil 3D work for accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with standards, client requirements, and regulations.
• Mentor engineers, designers, and drafters; drive safety in engineering decisions.
