Job summary

Southeast Emergency Response in Nashville is seeking a part-time Community Engagement Specialist to cultivate relationships with Fire Departments, EMS agencies and emergency management partners across Middle Tennessee.

You will represent the company at meetings and events, document interactions in the CRM, and help facilitate referrals while building a strong local presence and credibility within the Nashville emergency services community.

Qualifications

Your Impact: Key Responsibilities

Leverage existing relationships and establish new connections with local Fire Departments, EMS agencies, emergency management organizations, and community partners throughout the Nashville area. Serve as a trusted representative of Southeast Emergency Response and help strengthen our visibility and engagement within the emergency services community.

2. Community Engagement & Representation

Represent Southeast Emergency Response at fire service meetings, conferences, training events, association gatherings, community functions, sponsorship activities, and other industry-related events. Build meaningful relationships with fire service leaders and maintain an active presence within the local emergency response community.

3. Partnership Stewardship

Develop and maintain strong ongoing relationships with existing referral partners and community stakeholders. Utilize our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to document interactions, track relationship activity, and ensure consistent follow-up and engagement. Maintain accurate contact information and detailed records of community outreach efforts.

4. Strategic Referral Development

Identify opportunities to strengthen collaboration with Fire Departments, EMS agencies, and related organizations. Serve as a resource and point of contact for emergency service partners while helping facilitate referrals and supporting Southeast Emergency Response growth initiatives.

Qualifications
Education

High School Diploma or GED required.

Professional Experience

Strong preference for candidates with existing relationships and credibility within the Nashville-area fire service community.

  • Current or former Officer, Chief, Fire Marshal, Inspector, Instructor, or EMS professional.
  • Active participation in local Fire Department, EMS, or emergency management organizations.
  • Experience working closely with Fire Departments, emergency responders, or public safety agencies.
  • Established professional network within Middle Tennessee emergency services.
Other Relevant Skills
  • Experience with CRM systems, relationship management, or data tracking preferred.
  • Exceptional professionalism and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to engage effectively with Fire Chiefs, command staff, and community leaders.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a part-time capacity.
  • Strong local knowledge of the Nashville and Middle Tennessee fire service community.
