Metropolitan Government of Nashville & Davidson County is seeking a trained Advanced Emergency Medical Technician to respond to emergencies, assess patients, provide care, and transport to medical facilities. You will operate EMS equipment, maintain readiness, and communicate with hospital staff during patient care.
The role requires a Tennessee AEMT license, a high school diploma (21+), and a valid TN driver license.
This position is located with the Nashville Fire Department (NFD) and assists with administering emergency medical care to injured and the critically ill in an emergency environment or while transporting them to a proper medical facility as a member of an emergency medical team.
If you have applied for the Advanced Emergency Medical Technician position within the last 2 years, you DO NOT need to reapply.High School Diploma or equivalent and State of Tennessee license as an Advanced Emergency Medical Technician. Must meet National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) medical standards. Must be twenty-one (21) years of age prior to employment.
FAILURE TO MAINTAIN VALID ADVANCED EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIAN (AEMT) LICENSE WILL RESULT IN TERMINATION.
