Job summary

Ochsner Health System is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide respiratory care, oxygen services, diagnostic testing and ventilation support to patients across neonatal to geriatric ages. You will perform ABG analyses, assist with airway management, and deliver therapy per physician orders within established policies and procedures.

The role requires an active state license as a Respiratory Therapist, NBRC RRT certification, and BLS; ACLS must be obtained within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Required: Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy.
• Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in related field.
• Current license as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of practice; NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and advanced respiratory procedures per policy.
• Reviews and documents clinical information for each patient.
• Educates patients and co-workers on procedures and treatment plans.
