Job summary

Dweck Properties is seeking a Maintenance Tech to serve the community with routine upkeep, repairs, and apartment make‑ready tasks. You will respond to service requests, perform HVAC, plumbing and electrical work, and prepare units for new residents.

You will work a Monday–Friday schedule with on‑call duties on weekends and after hours as needed, ensuring safety and compliance across properties.

Qualifications

• Experience in apartment maintenance or hotel engineering in plumbing, electrical and HVAC.
• EPA certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days of employment).
• Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds, climb stairs and ladders.
• Personal transportation and valid Driver’s License.
• Enthusiasm for outstanding customer service.
• Ability to use a smart phone and computer for work orders and time sheets.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• Knowledge of EPA and OSHA regulations governing hazardous materials.
• Live within 1‑hour response time from the property.
• Snow removal and early start times (6AM‑7AM) during inclement weather.

Responsibilities

• respond within 24 hours to service requests and resolve maintenance concerns.
• inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and replace parts in HVAC systems.
• inspect, test, and enhance electrical systems and components.
• install, repair, and maintain pipes, valves, fittings, and fixtures.
• prepare vacant apartments for market ready status for new residents.
• use Yardi to maintain records of preventive maintenance, service requests, and work‑in‑progress.
• walk the property daily for upkeep and safety.
• report major repair needs to Maintenance Supervisor and exterior contractors when needed.
• promote safety and compliance standards and provide Incident/Accident Reports.
• be aware of utility meters, apartment and fixture cut‑offs, and water usage.
