Job summary

The Dinerstein Companies is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to keep our apartment communities running smoothly and residents happy. You will work on-site under the Service Manager, handling resident work orders, preventative maintenance, and make‑ready turns.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year in on-site maintenance, strong customer service, and the ability to troubleshoot HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems. HVAC certification and CPO are preferred; a valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of on-site maintenance experience.
• Customer service experience as part of a property management team.
• Ability to troubleshoot HVAC, plumbing, and electrical repairs.
• Familiarity with building operating systems and preventive maintenance.
• HVAC certification and CPO preferred; city/state permits required.

Responsibilities

• Address resident service requests as directed by the Service Manager.
• Document service updates, closures, and pending items in the property software.
• Repair or replace lights, filters, fans, paint, and related items.
• Perform in-unit and community-wide preventive maintenance tasks.
• Assist team with upkeep, landscaping, trash removal, and cleaning.
• Correct hazardous conditions under supervision of the Service Manager.
• Prepare vacant and make-ready apartments for move-ins.
• Contribute to a culture focused on customer service.
