Job summary

City and Borough of Juneau is seeking qualified candidates to apply for our Emergency Program Training & Exercise Coordinator position. This role focuses on coordinating CBJ’s emergency management training and exercises, working with departments and partner agencies to translate the plan into practical procedures and training.

The ideal candidate will have experience in emergency management, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to coordinate logistics across

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in emergency management, emergency response, planning, training coordination, or related public safety work.
• OR substitution: four years of education, work experience, training, volunteer service, or military service demonstrating the ability to perform duties.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate CBJ’s emergency management training and exercise program.
• Implement CBJ’s Emergency Operations Plan with departments and partner organizations.
• Maintain training plans, calendars, task books and certifications.
• Support multi-agency training, exercises, and Continuity of Operations planning.
