Job summary

Eversource Energy is seeking an Emergency Preparedness Specialist in Massachusetts to design and optimize the AHERP and ERP training programs. You will lead training for municipal fire, police and medical responders, coordinate exercises, and manage documentation and communication strategies during emergencies.

The role requires at least five years in operations and emergency planning, a BS in engineering or related field, and preferences for Fire Science or Emergency Management credentials;

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, related discipline or equivalent experience.
• Five (5) years related experience in operations and emergency planning.
• Experience with fire service operations and first responder incident response.
• Fire/Emergency Instructor certifications preferred.
• CDL-A preferred or ability to earn within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Leads development, implementation and improvements to the Hazard Awareness Training program.
• Primary Trainer for municipal public safety personnel on Eversource emergency response.
• Leads process design, optimization and restoration strategies for outages across utility systems.
• Leads changes to AHERP, ERP and Business Continuity Plans and related documentation.
• Manages cross-functional projects and training drills; ensures regulatory compliance.
• Leads project teams in large-scale process improvement initiatives.
• Develops and maintains clear documentation of procedures and job aids.
• Ensures emergency plans are compliant with regulatory requirements.
• Maintains databases associated with Emergency Preparedness.
