Job summary

Eversource Energy is seeking a qualified professional to develop, maintain, and implement comprehensive emergency preparedness and restoration plans to optimize response before, during, and after events.

The role involves leading plans, coordinating with Operations, Engineering, and the Emergency Preparedness Group, and ensuring regulatory filings. Travel between MA/CT/NH is required as needed.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of applicable work practices and procedures and safety requirements.
• Working knowledge of information technology.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Implements, maintains and designs an effective, comprehensive emergency preparedness and restoration plan to optimize the company’s emergency preparedness and restoration efforts up to and following any event.
• Handles and facilitates emergency plan development and emergency preparedness with the Emergency Preparedness Group.
• Responsible for filing plans and reports with state regulators as required.
• Proactive preparedness planning including monitoring weather forecasts and advising leadership during events.
• Conducts After Action Reviews to assess operational events per policies and procedures.
• Works with Operations to improve restoration strategies, planning and budgets.
• Collaborates with Engineering to identify system hardening opportunities.
• Coordinates training and table-top exercises for staff with emergency assignments.
• Communicates clearly in routine and emergency conditions with all involved.
