Job summary

CONNECTICUT NATURAL GAS CORPORATION, part of AVANGRID, seeks a Program Manager for Emergency Preparedness in Orange or East Hartford, CT. You will lead the development and upkeep of emergency plans, coordinating with multiple stakeholders to ensure training, exercises, and real-world response readiness.

Responsibilities include deliberate planning, plan management, and cross-functional facilitation, with a strong emphasis on compliance, budget and contract oversight, and effective communications

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree + 7 years experience or Associate's degree + 10 yrs experience
• Experience facilitating cross functional teams through a planning process
• Strong experience with project management

Responsibilities

• Planning Expert: execute deliberate planning to update or develop plans.
• Design plans that are effective for training and usable in actual emergencies.
• Training on plans and continuous improvement through exercises and real events.
• Plan Management: track plans and maintenance schedules for compliance timelines.
• Facilitation of workshops and meetings with cross-functional experts.
• Project Management: multitask in a fast-paced environment across stakeholders.
• Budget and contract management for the program area.
• Clear communications tailored to technical and executive audiences.
• Collaborate with other program staff and support team needs.
