Job summary

Silver Cross Hospital is seeking an Emergency Preparedness Coordinator to assist in coordinating and implementing preparedness standards for a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors. You will help coordinate education and exercises to ensure organized response during a disaster.

Requirements include an associate degree or higher, 3–5 years in a healthcare-related field, and familiarity with ICS training.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher required.
• 3-5 years of healthcare-related experience in emergency preparedness, safety or regulatory compliance.
• Clinical experience as pre-hospital or hospital clinician.
• Ability to design lesson plans and coordinate courses.

Summary: Assists in the coordination and implementation of emergency preparedness standards to facilitate a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Assist in the coordination of education and exercises within the organization to ensure an organized response during a disaster.

Qualifications: Associate’s degree or higher.3-5 years of experience in healthcare-related field to include emergency preparedness, safety and/or regulatory compliance.Clinical experience as pre-hospital or hospital clinician.Prior experience in program coordination.Ability to design lesson plans, coordinate courses, and assist/conduct realistic, simulatedtraining.Familiarity with healthcare emergency preparedness, including security, safety, HAZMAT, OSHA, NIMS, HICS, HVA, CMS, and hospital accreditation body (e.g., TJC, DNV-GL) related criteria. Completion of Incident Command System (ICS) 100, 200, 700, and 800 within 1 year from date of hire. Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in related field preferred.

The expected pay for this position is listed below:

$25.84 - $32.30
