Job summary

Silver Cross Hospital seeks an Emergency Preparedness professional to coordinate and implement standards for a safe patient, staff, and visitor environment. You will organize education and exercises to ensure a structured response during disasters and coordinate multidisciplinary activities across the department.

The role requires clinical background in health care, 3–5 years in emergency preparedness or safety, and the ability to design training modules.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or higher required.
• 3-5 years in healthcare-related field including emergency preparedness, safety or regulatory compliance.
• Clinical experience as pre-hospital or hospital clinician.
• Experience coordinating programs.
• Ability to design lesson plans, coordinate courses and conduct realistic training.
• Familiarity with healthcare emergency preparedness criteria (security, safety, HAZMAT, OSHA, NIMS, HICS, HVA, CMS, TJC/DNV-GL).
• ICS 100, 200, 700, 800 completed within 1 year of hire.

Qualifications

Clinical experience as pre-hospital or hospital clinician. Prior experience in program coordination. Ability to design lesson plans, coordinate courses, and assist/conduct realistic, simulated training. Familiarity with healthcare emergency preparedness, including security, safety, HAZMAT, OSHA, NIMS, HICS, HVA, CMS, and hospital accreditation body (e.g., TJC, DNV-GL) related criteria. Completion of Incident Command System (ICS) 100, 200, 700, and 800 within 1 year from date of hire. Bachelor's or Master's Degree in related field preferred.

Expected Pay

$25.84 - $32.30

The final pay rate offered may be more than the posted range based on several factors including but not limited to: licensure, certifications, work experience, education, knowledge, demonstrated abilities, internal equity, market data, and more.
