Job summary

UK King's Daughters in Ashland, Kentucky, seeks a professional to support the development and delivery of emergency management education and training programs. You will assist with instructional materials, scheduling, and learning sessions to promote safety awareness and regulatory compliance.

The role collaborates with staff and leadership to ensure readiness, maintain training records, and support drills and evaluations in a dynamic healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 0–2 years paid experience in related field.
• Completion of NIMS courses (IS-100, IS-200, IS-700, IS-800) required within six months of hire.
• FEMA Professional Development Series and/or Professional Continuity Practitioner preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and delivering emergency management education and training programs.
• Prepare instructional materials, presentations, and resources for staff education sessions.
• Coordinate training schedules, attendance tracking, and documentation of participant completion.
• Support emergency drills and exercises to evaluate readiness and response effectiveness.
• Maintain training databases and records in compliance with regulatory and organizational requirements.
• Communicate with departments to ensure understanding of emergency policies and procedures.
• Provide on-site support during emergency events, drills, and evaluations as directed.
• Participate in reviewing and updating emergency education content based on feedback and regulatory changes.
• Collaborate with educators, safety officers, and management to enhance program quality and engagement.
