Job summary

UK King's Daughters is seeking a Community Health Educator to organize and deliver health programs, teach preventive topics, and train volunteers. You will coordinate community events, manage curricula, and work with the Community Relations team to promote health initiatives.

The role requires 3–5 years in public health or health education, a relevant degree, and active health and safety certifications. This full-time position is based in Ashland, Kentucky and involves on-site work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in public health or health education or a related field.
• Associates degree in Nursing with relevant experience.
• Master’s degree in education is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Organize and execute community programs aligned with the mission and goals.
• Train and validate volunteers on educational and health screening equipment.
• Lead and coordinate community events and mobile health unit activities.
• Teach wellness topics in various community settings such as nutrition, exercise, hygiene, prevention, and cessation.
• Collaborate with Community Services Specialists to schedule and coordinate events.
• Maintain and update teaching curriculum and educational exhibits.
