Qualifications

• Preferred: one year of dispatch experience in public safety or fast-paced setting; experience operating communications equipment; possession of CA POST Public Safety Dispatchers' Basic Course.

Responsibilities

• Receive emergency calls from the public and determine nature and location of emergencies.
• Dispatch appropriate police or emergency units per procedures and maintain contact with units.
• Maintain logs, Teletype information, and perform general clerical tasks; rotate shifts, weekends, and holidays.
