Job summary

Mercor is hiring board-certified Emergency Medicine physicians to review, annotate, and evaluate clinical documentation for an AI healthcare partner. The remote, part-time role is designed around an active clinical practice, offering flexible scheduling and ongoing collaboration with a clinical AI team.

You will review ED charts, validate AI-generated summaries, annotate data per guidelines, and provide structured feedback to engineering and product teams.

Qualifications

• MD with a completed Emergency Medicine residency.
• Board-certified in Emergency Medicine with 2–3+ years of practice as a board-certified ED physician.
• US-based.

Mercor is hiring board-certified Emergency Medicine physicians on behalf of a healthcare AI partner building advanced clinical documentation tools. In this role you will apply your emergency department expertise to review, annotate, and evaluate clinical documentation, directly shaping the accuracy, safety, and clinical usefulness of medical AI systems.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Documentation Review

• Review ED clinical documentation and patient charts for accuracy, completeness, and clinical soundness
• Evaluate AI-generated ED summaries against what a practicing emergency physician would expect to see on arrival

Annotation & Structured Feedback

• Annotate clinical encounter data against detailed guidelines
• Flag omissions, hallucinations, clinical inaccuracies, and documentation gaps in AI-generated output
• Provide structured, written feedback that engineering and product teams can act on

Knowledge Contribution

• Contribute expert input on annotation guidelines and edge-case definitions
• Raise clarifying questions where guidance is ambiguous and help refine the guidelines

Required Qualifications

• MD with a completed Emergency Medicine residency
• Board-certified in Emergency Medicine, with 2–3+ years of practice as a board-certified ED physician
• US-based

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior AI/ML annotation or model evaluation experience
• Experience synthesizing patient charts into ED arrival summaries
