Mercor is hiring board-certified Emergency Medicine physicians to join a healthcare AI partner focused on advanced clinical documentation tools. In this role you will review, annotate, and evaluate emergency department records to shape the accuracy, safety, and usefulness of medical AI systems.

This remote, part-time engagement offers flexible scheduling around an active clinical practice. You will provide structured feedback and contribute to annotation guidelines, helping refine edge-case

Qualifications

• MD with a completed Emergency Medicine residency.
• Board-certified in Emergency Medicine, with 2–3+ years of practice as a board-certified ED physician.

Responsibilities

• Clinical Documentation Review: Review ED clinical documentation and patient charts for accuracy, completeness, and clinical soundness.
• Evaluate AI-generated ED summaries against what a practicing emergency physician would expect to see on arrival.
• Annotation & Structured Feedback: Annotate clinical encounter data against detailed guidelines; Flag omissions, hallucinations, clinical inaccuracies, and documentation gaps in AI-generated output; Provide structured, written feedback that engineering and product teams can act on.
• Knowledge Contribution: Contribute expert input on annotation guidelines and edge-case definitions; Raise clarifying questions where guidance is ambiguous and help refine the guidelines.

In this role you will apply your emergency department expertise to review, annotate, and evaluate clinical documentation, directly shaping the accuracy, safety, and clinical usefulness of medical AI systems.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Documentation Review

• Review ED clinical documentation and patient charts for accuracy, completeness, and clinical soundness
• Evaluate AI-generated ED summaries against what a practicing emergency physician would expect to see on arrival

Annotation & Structured Feedback

• Annotate clinical encounter data against detailed guidelines
• Flag omissions, hallucinations, clinical inaccuracies, and documentation gaps in AI-generated output
• Provide structured, written feedback that engineering and product teams can act on
