Mercor is seeking board-certified Emergency Medicine physicians to contribute to a healthcare AI partnership. In this role you will review, annotate, and evaluate clinical documentation, directly shaping the accuracy, safety, and usefulness of AI systems in ED settings.

This remote, part-time position offers flexible scheduling designed around an active clinical practice. Candidates must be US-based with an MD and completed EM residency, board certification, and strong experience reviewing ED

• Review ED clinical documentation and patient charts for accuracy, completeness, and clinical soundness.
• Evaluate AI-generated ED summaries against what a practicing emergency physician would expect to see on arrival.
• Annotate clinical encounter data against detailed guidelines.
• Flag omissions, hallucinations, clinical inaccuracies, and documentation gaps in AI-generated output.
• Provide structured, written feedback that engineering and product teams can act on.
• Contribute expert input on annotation guidelines and edge-case definitions.
• Raise clarifying questions where guidance is ambiguous and help refine the guidelines.

In this role you will apply your emergency department expertise to review, annotate, and evaluate clinical documentation, directly shaping the accuracy, safety, and clinical usefulness of medical AI systems.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Documentation Review

• Review ED clinical documentation and patient charts for accuracy, completeness, and clinical soundness
• Evaluate AI-generated ED summaries against what a practicing emergency physician would expect to see on arrival Annotation & Structured Feedback
• Annotate clinical encounter data against detailed guidelines
• Flag omissions, hallucinations, clinical inaccuracies, and documentation gaps in AI-generated output
• Provide structured, written feedback that engineering and product teams can act on Knowledge Contribution
• Contribute expert input on annotation guidelines and edge-case definitions
• Raise clarifying questions where guidance is ambiguous and help refine the guidelines

Required Qualifications

• MD with a completed Emergency Medicine residency
• Board-certified in Emergency Medicine, with 2-3+ years of practice as a board-certified ED physician
• US-based

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior AI/ML annotation or model evaluation experience
• Experience synthesizing patient charts into ED arrival summaries
