Mercor is hiring board-certified Emergency Medicine physicians to contribute to a healthcare AI partner building advanced clinical documentation tools. You will review, annotate, and evaluate ED charts and AI-generated ED summaries, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and clinical usefulness for safe patient care.

In this remote, part-time role you will annotate data against detailed guidelines, provide structured feedback to engineering and product teams, and help refine guidelines with edge-case

Formación

• MD with an Emergency Medicine residency.
• Board-certified in Emergency Medicine, with 2–3+ years of practice as a board-certified ED physician.
• US-based.

Responsabilidades

• Clinical Documentation Review: Review ED clinical documentation and patient charts for accuracy, completeness, and clinical soundness.
• Evaluate AI-generated ED summaries against what a practicing emergency physician would expect to see on arrival.
• Annotation & Structured Feedback: Annotate clinical encounter data against detailed guidelines.
• Flag omissions, hallucinations, clinical inaccuracies, and documentation gaps in AI-generated output.
• Provide structured, written feedback that engineering and product teams can act on.
• Knowledge Contribution: Contribute expert input on annotation guidelines and edge-case definitions.
• Raise clarifying questions where guidance is ambiguous and help refine the guidelines.

In this role you will apply your emergency department expertise to review, annotate, and evaluate clinical documentation, directly shaping the accuracy, safety, and clinical usefulness of medical AI systems.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Documentation Review

• Review ED clinical documentation and patient charts for accuracy, completeness, and clinical soundness
• Evaluate AI-generated ED summaries against what a practicing emergency physician would expect to see on arrival

Annotation & Structured Feedback

• Annotate clinical encounter data against detailed guidelines
• Flag omissions, hallucinations, clinical inaccuracies, and documentation gaps in AI-generated output
• Provide structured, written feedback that engineering and product teams can act on

Knowledge Contribution

• Contribute expert input on annotation guidelines and edge-case definitions

Required Qualifications

• MD with a completed Emergency Medicine residency
• Board-certified in Emergency Medicine, with 2–3+ years of practice as a board-certified ED physician
• US-based

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior AI/ML annotation or model evaluation experience
• Experience synthesizing patient charts into ED arrival summaries
