Job summary

Freeman Health System is seeking a paramedic to support emergency department patient care. You will assist RNs and physicians in delivering nursing care, participate in multidisciplinary collaboration, and operate under the direction of the nursing and medical leadership.

This full-time role requires EMTP certification; preferred candidates include Critical Care Paramedics with at least one year of paramedic experience. The position emphasizes team-based care within a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Completion of EMTP program.
• Preferred: Critical Care Paramedic.
• Preferred: One year experience as a paramedic.

Responsibilities

• Assist RNs and physicians in patient care through nursing process assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes.
• Functions under the supervision and direction of a registered nurse with direction of the nursing and medical director; paramedics may perform patient care functions under State law.
