Job summary

The Paramedic – Emergency Department at Lutheran Health Network in Fort Wayne, IN delivers high-quality, patient-centered care across all ages under RN and physician supervision. Qualifications

• Technical School completion of an accredited Paramedic program required.
• Associate Degree in EMS preferred.
• 0-2 years EMT-P experience required.
• Experience in hospital ED, ambulance, or critical care transport preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs advanced life support and emergency procedures in a fast-paced ED.
• Assists physicians and nurses with resuscitation, trauma, and diagnostic processes.
• Administers medications within scope and documents in EMR with accuracy.
• Maintains ED supplies and equipment, reporting malfunctions.
• Collaborates with the care team to prioritize patient flow and throughput.
• Communicates clearly with patients and families to reduce anxiety.
