Eclipse Specialty & Emergency Pet Care in Whippany, NJ, seeks an experienced ER Operations Manager to oversee the emergency department's daily non-clinical operations, driving efficiency, quality, and compliance.

You will manage staffing, scheduling, resource allocation, and analyze performance metrics, while addressing escalated customer concerns and collaborating with clinical leaders to support staff training and evaluations.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of management or leadership experience in healthcare, especially emergency/critical care.
• Degree in healthcare administration, business administration, nursing or related field.
• Strong data literacy and problem-solving abilities; Lean Six Sigma knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage operations to promote quality customer service, patient flow, and department efficiency.
• Oversee staff hiring, scheduling and daily resource allocation for the department.

This role involves managing various operational processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and compliance. The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership and communication skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a commitment to maintaining high standards.Key Responsibilities:· Monitor and manage all aspects of operations promoting quality customer service, patient care, patient flow, reduce waiting times, and optimize department efficiency.· Oversee staff hiring, scheduling and daily resource allocation for the department.· Analyze performance data to implement policies that enhance patient satisfaction and safety standards.· Handle escalated customer concerns and support smooth front-desk workflows.· Collaborate with clinical leaders and the training and education coordinator to support staff training and performance evaluations.Qualifications:Experience: 3-5 years’ experience in management or leadership healthcare/hospital experience, specifically within emergency or critical care settings required. Veterinary healthcare experience preferred.Education: Degree in Healthcare administration, business administration, nursing or related field required.Core Skills: Strong data literacy, crisis management, and familiarity with improvement methodologies like Lean Six Sigma.Emotional Intelligence: Positive interpersonal skills, effective organizational, teaching and leadership skills.
