Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for Emergency Mental Health at our Worcester, MA campus. This 16-hour, night-shift role is part-time (11 PM–7:30 AM) with every other weekend and holiday.

Ideal candidates hold MA RN licensure and BLS; BSN preferred and ACLS a plus. You will deliver direct patient care, assess needs, coordinate discharge planning and support quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts RN licensure and active registration.
• BLS certification required for all RN applicants.
• ACLS certification preferred for Emergency Mental Health.
• BSN degree preferred by the department.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to deliver direct patient care from admission to discharge.
• Performs patient assessments and develops plan of care including discharge planning.
• Directs, coordinates and evaluates nursing care within the assigned setting.
• Administers medications and operates equipment per policy and procedure.
• Participates in quality improvement initiatives and nursing governance activities.
