WVUHS Medical Group and the Department of Emergency Medicine seek an Emergency Medicine Physician to practice at Berkeley Medical Center in Martinsburg, WV. Depending on operational needs, the candidate may also work at additional sites in WV, Maryland, and Pennsylvania, with travel expected.
Duties: The successful candidate will practice Emergency Medicine, providing outpatient clinical care, and establishing preventive health practices for patients.
Qualifications: Must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent, be eligible for a state medical license, and have completed an accredited emergency medicine residency. Board certification or eligibility via a recognized ABMS board is required. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
The Department of Emergency Medicine has over 100 full-time members and offers various clinical experiences with an academic affiliation to WVU's School of Medicine. WVU Medicine is West Virginia University's health system, the largest private employer in the state, and a leader in patient safety and quality. It comprises 18 hospitals, including J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital, a 700+ bed academic medical center offering tertiary and quaternary care.
