WVUHS Medical Group seeks an Orthopedic-Hand Physician. The successful candidate will practice primarily in Martinsburg, WV.
Responsibilities: The candidate will specialize in hand surgery. The Orthopedic and Sports Medicine providers of WVU Medicine offer diagnosis, treatment, and surgery of the musculoskeletal system.
Qualifications: Applicants must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible for a state medical license. Candidates must have completed an accredited Orthopedic Surgery residency and a Hand Surgery fellowship. Board certification or eligibility in Orthopedic Surgery is required. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
Berkeley Medical Center is a 195-bed non-profit acute care hospital offering radiology services including MRI, PET, nuclear medicine, and interventional radiology; a wound care center with hyperbaric chambers; NICU; ICU; oncology and neurosurgery services; and a Cardiac Cath Lab. Recent expansions include new outpatient and main hospital ORs focusing on robotics, orthopedics, and vascular health.
Located in the Eastern Panhandle, just over an hour from Washington, D.C. and Baltimore, MD, the area offers a rural atmosphere with low congestion and a lower cost of living, attracting urban professionals and supporting telecommuting and high-tech industries.
