Qualifications

• Pharm.D. degree required with licensure to practice as a pharmacist.
• ASHP-accredited PGY1 residency is required, with board certification (BPS) preferred.
• ASHP-accredited PGY2 residency or equivalent clinical practice experience is required.
• Experience in a large hospital setting and current BLS/ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and medication management in emergency medicine.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize drug therapy.
• Document daily patient assessments, plans, interventions, and transitions in the EHR.
• Review regimens for indication, dosing, allergies, and interactions.
• Support cost-effective drug use and monitor therapy outcomes.
• Educate staff and residents; participate in residency rotation requirements.
• Respond to Level I trauma, code blue, and massive transfusion emergencies.
• Assist in discharge planning and handoffs to other care sites.
