Job summary

Harris Regional Medical Center is seeking an EMT to join our Emergency Medical Services team on a PRN basis. Schedule varies (24/72 or 12-hour shifts) and includes rotating weekends. You will provide advanced and basic life support in both emergency and non-emergency settings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Associate's degree or higher preferred.
• Current EMT Certification, National Registry preferred.
• One year EMT experience preferred.
• CPR training (AHA/ARC/ASHI/HSI) CPR.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls and provide basic and advanced life support.
• Ensure the assigned unit is properly equipped, stocked, and prepared for incidents.
• Be responsible for shift coverage and scheduling when other personnel are unavailable.

Working as a team, respond, treat, and react quickly and calmly to emergency and non-emergency situations to provide efficient and immediate, advanced and basic life support, care to the ill and injured. Ensure that during a shift that the assigned unit is properly equipped, stocked, and prepared to respond to a single or multiple patient incidents.Ensure that during a shift that the assigned unit is properly equipped, stocked, and prepared to respond to single or multiple patient incidents. Be responsible for schedules and coverage if other personnel are not available to cover a shift. Shift work requires a mixture of days, nights, and twenty-four-hour coverage to ensure adequate coverage for the service. Harris EMS area of operation including patient's houses, infrastructures, hospitals, and long-term care facilities

What we're looking for

The following qualifications are the minimum requirements necessary to adequately perform this job.However, an equivalent combination of experience, education and training which provides the necessary knowledge skills and abilities would be acceptable, subject to any legal and/or regulatory requirements.
