Geisinger Emergency Medical Services Rohrsburg seeks EMTs for a shift rotation with a 40-hour week. New EMT starting rates include a $5,000 sign-on bonus, plus a $2/hour transport premium for day shifts and a $2/hour night shift differential.

Responsibilities include examining patients, delivering emergency care, basic life support, documenting data, maintaining confidentiality, and transporting patients per policy. Education: HS diploma and PA EMT certs required.

Job Duties

• Examine and evaluate patients to determine necessary care.
• Provide patients with emergency care by utilizing appropriate techniques and equipment.
• Provide basic life support and gather patient data.
• Document patient information, condition, and treatment.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and perform all care with respect for patient rights.
• Transport patients in accordance with outlined policies and procedures.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients.
• Operate and drive ambulance in conjunction with applicable safety policies and laws.
• Work is typically performed in a clinical environment.
• Accountable for satisfying all job specific obligations and complying with all organization policies and procedures.
