Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-B) to respond to non-emergent and emergent transport requests, provide pre-hospital care within scope, and ensure safe patient transport to facilities or residences. The role emphasizes accuracy in documentation and readiness of vehicle/equipment.

Required MA EMT certification, BLS, and basic computer skills. A $4,000 sign-on bonus is paid in three installments, with eligibility rules and tax deductions applicable.

Competenze

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Current MA Basic EMT Certification.
• Current AHA BLS Certification.
• Experience with computer systems (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• 0–1 years related work experience.

Mansioni

• Responds promptly to both non-emergent and emergency calls as directed by the dispatcher.
• Maintains knowledge of area geography and traffic patterns.
• Completes electronic PCR and vehicle/equipment checklists on every shift.
• Renders pre-hospital care at EMT-B level and performs BLS assessments.
• Represents Lahey Hospital and EMS services professionally with patients and staff.
• Participates in continuing education and adopts new technology as needed.
• EMS staff may be crossed trained to assist in the Emergency Department.
