Job summary

AFC Urgent Care is seeking a dependable Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to join our clinical team in a clinic-based setting. You will work closely with medical providers to deliver high-quality care to patients of all ages in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include patient rooming, vital signs, examinations support, point-of-care testing, EKGs, wound care, and medication administration as trained. Strong communication and teamwork are essential for success.

Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) – Urgent Care

AFC Urgent Care is looking for a dependable, energetic, and patient-focused Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to join our clinical team.

This is a great opportunity for an EMT who enjoys hands-on patient care but is looking for a clinic-based position outside of the traditional ambulance or emergency department setting.

Position Overview

As an EMT at AFC Urgent Care, you will work alongside our medical providers and clinical team to help deliver efficient, high-quality care to patients of all ages. Our clinics are fast-paced, team-oriented environments where EMTs play an important role in both patient care and clinic operations.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain vital signs and medical histories
• Assist providers with examinations and procedures
• Perform point-of-care testing and collect specimens
• Perform EKGs and other clinical testing as trained
• Assist with wound care, splinting, and other urgent care procedures
• Administer medications and injections when permitted by training, clinic policy, and applicable regulations
• Prepare exam and procedure rooms
• Clean and sterilize equipment and maintain appropriate infection-control standards
• Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record
• Assist with patient flow to keep visits efficient
• Maintain clinical supplies and restock rooms
• Communicate professionally and compassionately with patients and families
• Work collaboratively with providers, medical assistants, front desk staff, and other members of the clinic team

Qualifications

• Current EMT certification
• Current CPR/BLS certification

Schedule

Our urgent care clinics are open seven days a week. Candidates should have some availability for weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on clinic staffing needs.
