Job summary

Danbury Hospital is seeking a patient services clerk to provide clerical support, coordinate unit activities, and communicate clearly across disciplines. You will assist with patient throughput and ensure accurate documentation in the charting systems.

The role requires data entry capability and comfort navigating a multi-application environment. Experience with MS Word/Excel is preferred, and the position offers a range of benefits and a stable work setting.

Qualifications

• Required: Data entry and the ability to navigate a multi-application environment.
• Minimum Experience: six months.
• Desired: MS Word and MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assesses and performs clerical needs of the unit based on clinical requests and monitoring of patient activity.
• Provides input to charge nurse, clinical leader, and manager with department staffing process.
• Maintains proficiency in system applications including HMED, Cerner, Invision and Teletracking.
• Completes scanning and ensures correct patient documentation for accurate charts.
• Handles alerts (Trauma, Stroke, STEMI) and related downtime workflows.
