Physical Requirements Lifting, pushing, pulling up to 50 lbs., sitting for extended periods of time; including sitting at computer workstation. Occasional risk of injuries from use of equipment on the job, loud noises, temperature extremes, hazardous chemicals and fumes including waste, burns, cuts/punctures, combative/violent people, and animal handling (including carcasses).

Shift Primarily Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm with flexibility for trainings, presentations, etc outside of these hours.

Job Summary

• supporting disaster preparedness
• maintaining emergency communication protocols.

The role also participates in on-call rotations, assists with HealthCare Incident Command Center ( HICC ) operations, and engages in ongoing professional development.

This position reports to the Emergency Management Director of Operations and may serve across the UK HealthCare Emergency Management Division as needed.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

This position will require candidates to take a polygraph examination as part of the University Police Department’s employment process.
