Job summary

Under supervision, the coordinator develops procedures, maintains accreditation tasks, and coordinates on-call staffing and incident action planning to ensure a rapid, organized university response to emergencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus experience in emergency planning or related field.
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate a vehicle.
• Preferred: Master's degree and IC/IS certifications (IC-100/200/300/400; IS-700/800).

Responsibilities

• Emergency Response and Event Staffing: on-call 24/7 for emergencies and events.
• Administrative duties: maintain records and update EM site; track expenses and assets.
• Operations: develop EM operations protocol, on-call rosters, and response checklists.
• Planning: assist in Threat/Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment; coordinate plan updates.
• Training: develop EM training programs and conduct exercises; document outcomes.
