Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year field experience firefighting and/or EMS at EMT Basic level or higher.
• Current National Registry EMT Basic certification with ability to obtain Paramedic.
• NFPA/IFSAC/Proboard FFI and FFII certifications; NIMS-ICS 100, 200, 700 & 800.
• SC Drivers License Class B or E; CPR-BLS.

Responsibilities

• Lead response to fires, disasters, or emergencies and provide fire suppression and EMS.
• Perform occupancy pre-incident plans, fire prevention, public education, and documentation.
• Adhere to OSHA programs and maintain EMS certification and sponsorship/authorization.
