Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in police administration, business admin, information systems or related field, or equivalent training and experience.
• Minimum of three years of proven experience in technical operations, communications, records management and/or admin management.
• Two years with CAD software, data communications and police/fire radio and console equipment.
• Experience managing a joint police and fire dispatch org serving ~ Rowlett population.
• Patriot 9-1-1 and NENA Center Manager Certification preferred; familiarity with public safety software.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Communications Shift Supervisors and Officers; assign duties and shifts.
• Oversee training program and staff performance; ensure policy compliance.
• Develop goals, monitor operations, and manage resources for center efficiency.
• Coordinate with admin staff to implement policies and ensure legal compliance.
• Evaluate system needs and budgetary matters for communications services.
