Unified Government of Athens-Clarke County is seeking an Emergency Management Coordinator to provide community education, planning support, and logistical assistance to ACC’s Emergency Management division. The role includes county-wide planning, developing education programs, and delivering Community Emergency Response Team trainings, including shelter setup and teardown.

The schedule is typically 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, Monday–Friday, with potential evenings and weekends.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in emergency management, public administration or related discipline with two years of emergency management or related experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• State of Georgia CERT certification within 18 months of hire date.

Mansioni

• Administers a variety of special departmental programs.
• Acts as liaison between county agencies, private sector, local jurisdictions, State and Federal agencies.
• Prepares grant applications and administers grants.
• Develops and writes reports and plans for emergencies and disasters.
