Job summary

MoDOT in Warrenton is seeking an on-call Emergency Maintenance Equipment Operator to plow snow and spread ice control materials, with hours varying by weather events. The position pays hourly rates that depend on area of operation and season, plus a $1 per hour night differential for work between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m.

• 2nd - 3rd Season - $24.11
• 4th Season - $25.37

What You'll Do

Minimum Qualifications:

• At least 18 years of age
• Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B with no air brake restrictions and interstate status (either Excepted Interstate [EI] or Non-Excepted Interstate [NI]).
• Registration in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration's Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse.
• Successful completion of a criminal background check and drug screen

Special Working Conditions:

• Job may require overtime and night time work.
• Job requires outdoor work that involves exposure to physical hazards, health and safety risks, and/or adverse or otherwise undesirable characteristics in the environment, including risk of physical injury from carrying out duties in heavy traffic areas, on or near heavy equipment or machinery, and with hazardous chemicals or materials
