MoDOT’s New Florence Maintenance Facility is seeking an on-call Emergency Wage Rates operator to perform critical snow removal on Missouri roads. The job pays an hourly rate that varies by season and area, with an extra $1/hour for night shifts (7 p.m.–7 a.m.).

Responsibilities include operating plows, spreading ice control materials, maintaining equipment, and following safety protocols. CDL and background checks are required, and overtime/night work may be needed.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B with no air brake restrictions and interstate status.
• Registration in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration's Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse.
• Successful completion of a criminal background check and drug screen.

• 1st Season - $23.00
• 2nd - 3rd Season - $24.11
• 4th Season - $25.37

What You'll Do

Minimum Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age
• Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B with no air brake restrictions and interstate status (either Excepted Interstate [EI] or Non-Excepted Interstate [NI]).
• Registration in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration's Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse.
• Successful completion of a criminal background check and drug screen

• Job requires outdoor work that involves exposure to physical hazards, health and safety risks, and/or adverse or otherwise undesirable characteristics in the environment, including risk of physical injury from carrying out duties in heavy traffic areas, on or near heavy equipment or machinery, and with hazardous chemicals or materials
