Qualifications

  • Associate degree in chemical, physical, or biological science or medical laboratory technology required OR completion of equivalent military training (50+ weeks).
  • One year of laboratory experience preferred (Clinical internship of 12 months meets this requirement).
  • MLT certification (or eligible) through ASCP or AMT required or eligible; certification must be obtained within 12 months of hire if not already certified.

Responsibilities

  • Perform analytical testing of patient specimens.
  • Conduct quality control and equipment maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot instrumentation issues.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and utilize LIS systems.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and inspection readiness.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians and clinical staff.
  • Practice efficient inventory management.
  • Follow all laboratory and safety protocols.
