The candidate will work under supervision, perform routine and complex tests, and ensure quality assurance compliance while handling specimens and reporting results in a timely manner.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology required.
• ASCP or NCA certification preferred.
• Experience in a clinical laboratory and knowledge of QA measures preferred.
• Detail oriented with strong interpersonal skills and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Prepare bone marrow aspirates and biopsies for analysis.
• Perform quality control testing, calibrations and maintenance of analyzers.
• Test patient samples, report results and maintain documentation.
• Maintain proficiency in LIS and EMR and ensure proper QA records.
• Print and review QC graphs and ensure testing aligns with specs.
• Prepare specimens for sending to reference labs and maintain clean work areas.
• Attend safety and continuing education classes and complete required CE.
