This PRN night position sits in the Laboratory department and requires strong clinical judgment and the ability to prioritize in a dynamic emergency setting.

Associate degree in chemical, physical, or biological science or medical laboratory technology is required; MLT

• Military training (50+ weeks) can be substituted for formal education.
• Bachelor-level certifications not specified; ASCP or AMT certification is preferred in the role.

Responsibilities

Work Schedule: 12 hours a week and every other weekend

What You'll Do

This position will work independently a majority of the time, requiring strong clinical judgment, technical competence, and the ability to prioritize in a dynamic emergency setting.

• Perform analytical testing of patient specimens


• Conduct quality control and equipment maintenance

What We're Looking For

• Associate degree in chemical, physical, or biological science or medical laboratory technology required


• OR completion of equivalent military training (50+ weeks)


• One year of laboratory experience preferred (Clinical internship of 12 months meets this requirement)


• MLT certification (or eligible) through ASCP or AMT required


• Certification must be obtained within 12 months of hire if not already certified


• Ongoing maintenance of certification required


• Strong knowledge of laboratory equipment and quality control procedures


• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively


• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills


• Ability to remain calm in emergency situations


• Strong communication and teamwork skills


• Attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
