JOB TITLE: Emergency Housing Case Manager (Shelter Case Manager) [Full-Time]
REPORTS TO: Director of Interim Housing
SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
LOCATION: Los Angeles, CA
STATUS: Full-time, 40 hrs/wk, Non-Exempt
CELL PHONE: Reimbursement for use
DRIVER POSITION: Yes (see driving policy below)
SALARY RANGE: $21.00 - $24.00/hr
Safe Place for Youth (SPY) is the leading service provider for youth experiencing or at-risk of homelessness in West Los Angeles. Founded in 2011, our agency offers trauma-informed, low barrier programs that support young people in exiting the streets and achieving stability so that they can thrive, not just survive. Our continuum includes street outreach, drop-in services, health and wellness programming, case management, education and employment services, and housing programs.

The Emergency Housing Case Manager will engage and support youth at the PodShare Emergency Housing site, enrolling youth in need of shelter. Responsibilities include providing onsite support, connecting youth to resources, coordinating with housing and service providers, and developing housing plans and budgets. The role requires extensive coordination with internal programs and external partners such as Housing Authority, DCFS, DMH, landlords, and community resources.
What You’ll Need:
Mandated Reporting: This role is a mandated reporter under California law.
COVID-19 Vaccination: Proof of vaccination or weekly testing required, with accommodations available upon request.
Driver Position: Requires a clean driving record, valid license, and insurance. Driving is an essential function.
