Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or GED.
• 2 years front office/medical billing or hospital registration experience preferred.
• 2 years experience in insurance verification or medical/hospital billing preferred.
• EPIC EHR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with insurance verification and eligibility up front.
• Collect at point of service and arrange payment plans to prevent bad debt.
• Set up appropriate financial arrangements and help patients access programs (Medi-Cal, Uncompensated Care).
• Maintain accurate registration and financial counseling documentation.
• Ensure privacy and HIPAA compliance throughout interactions.
