Responsibilities

• Ensure reimbursement to PIH Health from patients or responsible parties.
• Assist patients in understanding insurance coverage and determine eligibility/benefits.
• Perform up-front POS collections and set up financial arrangements to avoid bad debt.
• Assist patients in accessing Medi-Cal, Uncompensated Care, and Hospital Presumptive Eligibility.
• Gather and complete forms to expedite approvals before discharge from ED.
