Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories is seeking a part-time Emergency Management Dispatch-Telecommunicator to coordinate all-hazards incident communications and emergency response activities. You’ll support 24/7 operations, dispatch resources, and collaborate with internal teams and external agencies during emergencies.

The role requires a high school diploma, NM EM Dispatcher license, and the ability to work on-site in Albuquerque with rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or higher with emergency dispatch experience.
• New Mexico Emergency Management Medical Dispatcher license.
• Experience with emergency response communications and CAD-like systems.

Responsibilities

• Receive and triage 9-1-1 and non-emergency calls via a multi-line system.
• Provide pre-arrival EMS/EMD instructions and dispatch resources.
• Document requests and maintain logs for QA and events.
• Operate mass notification systems and ensure compliance.
• Coordinate with agencies and internal teams during incidents.
• Work rotating on-site shifts including nights and weekends.
