The supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day oversight of Emergency Dispatchers, Call Takers, and answering calls for service over 911 and non-emergency telephone lines. They ensure that officer safety is maintained while providing both emergency and non-emergency assistance to citizens and office personnel 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Consequences for error may result in monetary liabilities to MCSO and the County regarding lawsuits for injury; emergency situations not responded to in a timely manner; and ultimately loss of life.
