Job summary

The Pueblo of Sandia is seeking a capable dispatcher to coordinate police, fire, EMS and other tribal services. You will manage 911 and administrative calls, dispatch units, and relay critical information to responders to ensure safety and prompt response.

Strong communication and record-keeping skills are essential. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, 2 years related experience, and NCIC/EMD familiarity or certification within 60 days.

Qualifications

• Requires High School diploma or GED. Two years related experience preferred.
• Must possess NCIC/NCMIC knowledge and be able to obtain NCIC certification within 60 days.
• EMD certification preferred; First Aid/CPR within 60 days.
• Pass stringent background and drug screening as part of pre-employment checks.

Responsibilities

• Answer multi-line phones (including 911) and log calls.
• Dispatch emergency units and prioritize responses.
• Communicate with police, EMS, and fire via radio and telephone.
• Maintain records of units, calls, and statuses.
• Provide information to callers and assist with on-scene safety.
• Train personnel on NCIC and dispatch procedures.
